Josh Wade is the creator of NectarWineBlog.com and the owner of Nectar Tasting Room, Spokane Wine Magazine, and Nectar Media Consulting. Josh used social media tools like blogging, Facebook, and Twitter to launch a brand and create an awareness and following before opening a brick and mortar location. Josh’s commitment to content built a loyal following of nearly 12,000 unique monthly blog readers and made his wine blog one of the top read wine blogs in the country.

Brand building helped launch Nectar Tasting Room in January of 2011. Opening with zero dollars spent in traditional marketing, the wine tasting room has been wildly successful with over $200,000 in revenue in the first year. Nectar Tasting Room was named Spokane’s best business start up in 2011. Plans are already in the works for two additional locations in other Washington cities.

Josh used the blog platform to bring a greater awareness to his regional wine scene and now publishes Spokane Wine Magazine, a bi-annual focus on the area’s growing quality wine scene. The 10,000 copy magazine is used by area wineries, the local visitors bureau, and marketers to promote the area as a wine destination.

In addition to the two wine related businesses, Josh’s experience and expertise with social media tools have put him in high demand for teaching, consulting, and business conference engagements. In previous careers as a pastor and an executive in marketing at Bank of America, Josh learned the skills to engage an audience and help businesses create a strategy for successful integration of online and offline relationships.

In 2011, Josh was named one of the top 20 under 40 business people in Spokane by Inland Catalyst Magazine as has been featured on MSNBC.com, Alaska Airlines Magazine, and on all three local news networks.
